I am looking for a romantic weekend break in the Lakes. First time we have been away so really important?

I am looking for some help with details of a really romantic hotel / cottage with the log fire and all the trimmings or perhaps a luxery spa hotel for a weekend. This is the first time my girlfriend and I have been away together so really want to make a good impression. Thanks

You need to look on the net. There are a number of companies who rent cottages - get some brochures, A lot will have photographs of some of the cottages for rent, I went and had a fabulous cottage.

One thing you need to within walking distance of a town, say Keswick, fantastic town. I stayed a couple of miles from the nearest town so if I wanted a drink in the evening I had to use the car and limit the drinking to one pint. Keswick also has excellent eating places. You also have easy access to the Fells if you fancy walking. Have a great time.
