Go to the hardware store and buy some pieces of 'rebar'. Use the heavy duty rebar ( 3/4 "). Get 3 pieces 5 foot long. Take a piece of wire and loosely wrap it around all 3 bars at the 4  1/2 foot mark. Pull the bottom of bars to form your tripod...use a small length of chain with an 'S' hook on both ends to hang from tripod and hold on to your cooking pot. I have used this many times when we went camping. It's cheap and easy to make....paint it black with some grill paint so it doesn't get too rusty.

Look on ebay for any coleman camping gear. The make a wonderful tri-pod and if you can't find one on ebay,try the coleman web site.
