It should preferably be internet based so can be accessed anywhere and if its free all the better.

There used to be a site called cd tracker which i used but which now appears to be some kind of pro gun site which is very strange.

If anyone knows of one thanks for letting me know.

  1. There's a great one I used to use on PC which is called CD Trustee. It's not free, but it's well worth the price. All information is imported from the Gracenote online CD database, so you just load the CD into your computer to get the information. You don't have to import all the music on it - you just need to briefly insert the disc to get the code off it.

Since I went over to Mac, I've been using Delicious Library. It works in a similar way, although it references a different online database, and you don't have to load the CD - you can either scan in the bar code or just enter the UPC code, or search by title. You can also catalog your movies and books with the same software. Again, it's not free, but it's well worth the price.

  2. Just put your music onto Windows Media Player and press the "Find Album Info" and it will search the internet for the info. You can also do in manually by right clicking the song and select "Advanced Tag Editor".

  3. I just use the standard Windows Media Player you can grade the music by star rating and nearly all CDs  will capture details of content automatically - what more do you need?
