the light switch. Standard elecrical boxes (new or old work boxes) s***w holes are close to the top and bottom of the box. I install Audio/Video equipment, and would like to use the faceplates meant for single electrical outlets with the circle cut out in the middle. But the s***w holes are closer to the center of the faceplate and don't line up with the holes on the box. I saw an adaptor in a customers box that was meant for that purpose but can't seem to find it anywhere. It had 'Sierra Electric Gardena, CA Cat # B40 (or 340)' stamped on it. Please help!

  1. This is what you really want -- it's an adapter for work boxes that easily passes cables through.  The also have a double box version.
