  1. If you can determine their religion, you have a chance of finding records.

Church records are beloved by genealogists in these instances. Good luck, happy hunting, and in this case, "via con Dios."

  2. The easiest place to start is to tell us which state they lived in. There are a lot of "local" records we can help you search if we know the town and state.

Did the later censuses tell where they were born?

Have you looked for their marriage license?

What kind of work did the husband do?

If you want to email me what you know about the one born in 1876, I'd be happy to snoop around for you later tonight.

  3. I dont know where you have been looking, but http://www.v1g.org has every record you just listed. Um.. if you can't find anything still I recommend the site, the data is pretty solid. It costs money, however its cheap, and cheaper than any other site online.. either way good luck

  4. Hi, I'd encourage you to go back to those 3 census records and look for the birthplace of that ancestor and everyone in the household, and of each of their parents.  The Citizenship columns also need to be studied, as they can show year of immigration, whether naturalized, and in what year the person was naturalized.

Also:  Think creatively about what the last name would have been for the husband in his country of origin.  He/they may have "americanized" their name after they immigrated, as many did.  In other words, their surname in 1910-1930 may not be the one they started out with.

Sometimes I have to go back through all the details on the first findings I had surrounding the family, to find that the clues were there all along!

If you're still stuck after trying the above, please post a new question with some specifics and someone here will try to help you search.  Another pair of eyes can be a great thing!

    Best of luck.
