Airline pilot with a wide ranging experience of the industry needs another challenge. Management skills in abundance and operational experience gained from a life long involvement with aircraft.

  1. How odd.  How very strange.  With the skills and experience you list, it is surprising you don't have any contacts in the industry.

I would go to the major airline web sites and check out the "careers" pages.

    Good luck.

  2. 3 ways I see you can look at this simply by asking the question: what is your main motivation? "Exciting" and "rewarding" are all vain terms until you know what you want!

    So I propose 3 answers:-

    1. You want lots more of dough/money/dosh/bling/$ - I think you get the point.

    - try private runs; mil. contracts; etc.

    2. You want lots more power/respect/control/authority.

    - try regulation; management; in short, go political.

    3. You want lots more knowledge/long-term recognition/grandeur/etc.

    - try consultancy; r&d; etc.

Those 3 things are not mutually exclusive as you'll find any job has them all in different proportions. Take your pick and go for it!

    Good luck!

  3. What about working in a training environment? A ground or sim instructor.

  4. try british aerospace for an apprenteship

  5. Flight Attendant

  6. Air traffic controller? Set yourself up as an airport security consultant?

  7. Look into Technical Services or Flight Dispatching.

Tech Svcs you will be working directly with other pilots and maintenance crews to help troubleshoot the aircraft and issuing placcards.

Flight Dispatch .....  well you must already know all this.

    Good luck.

  8. ATC

sure as a helluva stressful job but has the challenge you're looking for.

    --------------------------------------...

I suggest you start a business. flying a charter or renting small acft or sightseeing or flight training or all of the above. It's what I'm going to do.

  9. Then you know the options, cargo or passenger.  Operations or Marketing.  I read Branson is about to open up a new airline in Russia, perhaps your experience could be useful there.  Good luck!!

  10. line guy, fuel planes, tug them back, guide them in, clean million dollar planes(corporate).

    pretty fun job
