  1. Hi, Liz

What Grrr said holds true for many city and county jails.  Each county does things a little differently, so you might have to put in a city name or a county name, with a qualifier like "inmate search" or "inmate locator"

For the state and federal prison systems, though, it is best to know what kind of prison the inmate is being held.

For State prison, I'd search for <state> Department of Corrections.  From there the prompts should take you to where you need to go, assuming that the state has that information available.  For Federal, I'd follow a similar pattern.  If I know the institution, then I'd plug that in.  If not, I'd us a search string like "Federal Prison Inmate Information"  which took me to the first search result:

    http://www.bop.gov/iloc2/LocateInmate.js...

running David Joseph Aquino through that system drew a blank.

    I also found this site:

    http://www.ewoss.info/auctions.aspx?k=in...

that promises all kinds of success.  It might be worth a look.

Best of fortune in finding what you seek,

    Rick/

  2. go to the county website for the jail.  enter his name.  if he's in there, you might be able to pull his info up.

  3. We'd need the state to help you...
