I am looking for any stats about having a Canadian Website (.ca) vs. using a Canadian sub-site on a .com. HELP

Trying to convince my client that getting a .ca website would work much better than just having a sub-site for Canada on their USA site. Any kind of help that could direct to an answer would be swell!

Tell your client that he should get both. Buying the domain name and parking it on the same site wouldn't even cost $50 US. Anyone typing either name would end up at the same place.
