I am looking for cheep ways to get to Chicago from Hartford CT.?

I live in Hartford CT. I dont have much money right now, but its really important to my friend that I come up and see her, she has her first big role in a major play up their. I have about only a month before the play ends and I will only stay the weekend. I just am looking for the cheapest way to travel their. I am not good with that whole finding plane tickets for 100 bucks thing. Any ideas were to start. Thank you.

Well southwest has the cheapest that i have seen to and from chicago cause that is where most of their planes have layovers..u will probably find a cheap flight with them..if u can get to long island airport it is cheaper usually..good luck..if all else fails download ding to ur desktop from them and every morning u will get alerts on specials..and there is not a day that goes by that i dont see a special to or from chicago...
