I will be taking my family to Calgary in September. We are looking for good family restaurants to eat at while we are there. Any type of food, but if anyone knows a good mexican place they can add it to the list. Thanks

  1. The Calgary Tower is awesome.  The tower revolves and you can look through the windows of in all the offices in the downtown area. (Smile)  Seriously though.  A very good restaurant.

I'm from out of the province and I took my family there and enjoyed the service, food and the view.  However, I'm not actually sure if minors are permitted.

  2. romeo's i think its near anchorage

but i am from British Columbia

but i have relatives in calgary

so i've been to that restraunt about 3 times and its very good

  3. I really like The ranche for fine dining, but quite pricey.  the last time we were there, we sat at a window seat and literally watched a big lop eared bunny beat up a ground hog.  No kidding!  It was the Freakin funniest thing IO have ever seen.  You may also be treated to deer walking past the window as well.  Very lovely spot, and if you are in the mood for a splurge, do it!

I also like Saltlik's for steaks.  Very cool room. The James Joyce Pub is an authentic irish pub with great food for lunch or a casual dinner, and the Sultan's Tent is a MUSt for your family.  You will be amazed when you walk inside... you will believe you are in Morraco.  You All the tables are private, surrounded with curtains ( as though you were in a tent) and you sit on cushions, and eat with your fingers in the traditional way.  You actually scoop your food up with injers, an elasticky african bread.  the food is amazing, mostly tagines of one sort or another, but also seafood and grilled meats.  YUM, and Fun!!!

i haven't eaten in any of the Mexican places in Calgary, but hre is a good site to go through before you head to calgary,

  4. Salt and pepper, mexican, on Maclead Trail
