  1. Pell grants are federal grants you can receive if eligible.  To apply for federal funding you need to complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Start with that.


  2. You have to fill out your FAFSA form by the deadline for your state (google FAFSA for the website to do it online), and the government will process it and tell you if you are eligible for one. Once that happens you should get a letter from your school stating how much you got in pell grant money. Contact your school's financial aid office for more detailed info. That is what they're there for and they should be glad to help you.
