  1. I agree with the previous post. And your absolute final resort would be to participate in Spoorloos ("missing without a trace"), a Dutch television program that reunites loved ones. They do international reunions very often, and find people with an absolute minimum of leads to go on. Of course, you (and/or your mother) would have to agree to be on tv, so you may want to try other possibilities first. Should you be interested, let me know and I'll translate the entry form for you. Don't know if they can help you, but you can always try.

Common Dutch spelling for your second cousin's first name would be Titia. There are two Titia Brouwer's listed on community site www.schoolbank.nl:

    1. Born 1971, attended a school in Heerenveen (province of Friesland)

    2. Born 1967, attended a school in Alphen aan den Rijn and one in Ede (province of Gelderland)

I tried wieowie.nl, but to no avail. Without an address, it'll be very hard to find out where she is today, assuming she did not get married.

I hope you do find her. Good luck!

  2. In order to find anyone (in any country for that matter) you would need a little more information than what you have provided.  A surname is a pre-requisite

Otherwise it's like me asking you to find "Brad" in San Francisco

If you have that then you can check the following:

Telephone guide (white pages) on http://www.detelefoongids.nl/ (fill in the green box, in the "wie" box fill in her name, and in the "waar" box fill in Amsterdam

Or you can try this page: http://www.wieowie.nl/ which checks all the sites (Hyves, Schoobank, Facebook etc) that many Dutch people subscribe to

    - Voornaam = first name

    - Achtername = surname (family name)

    Best of luck

  3. There is also a radio version of Spoorloos, (in fact it is much older, have been running for many years.) It is named Adres onbekend, (Address unknown).

They have just started their summer holidays, but you can write to them and explain.

    This is the website:

    http://www.adresonbekend.kro.nl/

And this is the page with contact details, in Dutch.

    http://adresonbekend.kro.nl/ookopzoek.as...

Write a complete letter with as much info as you have, but at least your full name and address, telephone number and e-mail address to either the address given or as e-mail.

(If the site stops working for the holiday period, I have stored the addresses on my computer to e-mail me through my profile for them.)

And keep looking on things like google as sometimes info does show up unexpectedly.
