I am looking for old maps of James River settlements in the 1600's. any suggestions?

I have ancestors who settled in the area across the river from Jamestown. Just trying to figure out where.

I have some books entitled "The 1787 Census of Virginia" by county, by the Genealogical Books in Print, Springfield, Virginia, 1987 which I obtained from Heritage Books, www.HeritageBooks.com.  The ones I have have maps, but of Northern Counties.  I am certain you can find what you need for the James River counties through Heritage Books.

  5. I'd like to have some of those, too.  That would be really cool, even if they are reproductions and not originals.  Let me know if you find any.
