Question:

I am looking for quality sushi restaurant in Manhattan without Nobu, Samba or Yashuda prices?

  1. I'm not sure what it's called, but there is a sushi place on St Mark's Place (btw 2nd and 3rd ave) on the north side of the street (next to the bar Bull McCabes)  It looks like a hole in the wall, but the sushi is great, and reasonably priced.  They also have a sushi happy hour (not sure of the exact hours) where everything is half off.  The dining room isn't much to look at, but you'll be too busy stuffing sushi down your throat!

    As far as midtown goes - I'm a big fan of Haru.  There is one in the 50s and 3rd I believe.  It's cheaper than the premium places, but more expensive than the hole in the wall places.  The quality is good though.


  2. Try Kodama on 8th Avenue at 45th Street...Resonable prices - good food...
