  1. how are you going to find a good quality ping pong table with only $50 - $70!!! hello?? don't you have a brain!! idk...i bought mine at sports authority!! about $300. ♥

  2. I know nothing about your playing style, other than that you like spin. I'm assuming you are an offensive player, someone with an ability and affinity for topspin.

Here is what I would do...

Post a question on http://www.tabletennis.gr/forum , telling people your playing style, what paddle you have now, as well as what you have said here. They will give you plenty of recommendations, even though I think I know what their main recommendations will be, just based off what you have told me...

If I were looking to buy a cheap, good setup (And I have bought many setups), I would go to http://www.colestt.com , and place an order with him. Recommending a paddle is always a complicated subject, as there are all sorts of factors to consider (Weight, spin, speed, thickness of sponge, handle type, etc.).  Cole has been in the business for a long time, and I trust his recommendations

    Here are my recommendations:

    Blades

Instinct (5-ply) with a flared handle ($15 for blade $35 for combo)

Dawei Hinoki Allround (Flared) ($20 for blade $40 for combo)

Gambler Oversized Kevlar ($32 for blade $52 for combo)

    Rubber

Inspirit (Not the quattro) 1.8mm 35 or 40 degree

    FX Super Soft 2.0mm

    Focus III 2.2mm

Of all of those, I would most recommend the Instinct 5 ply with Inspirit 1.8mm 35 degree on both sides.  Unfortunately, that is well below your price range, but I would still recommend it.  It is what I am using right now.

I know it seems like the price is too low to get quality, I assure you, it isn't. I have a friend who is in the top 100 in Britain who is using Inspirit Rubber, purchased from this same guy.  The Chinese are the Table Tennis masters, and the stuff they make is cheap and of good quality.  You do not have to pay $300 to get a good setup.  As a matter of fact, you would be stupid to do so if you are not in the top 500 in the country. This will enter you into the world of custom setups without paying an arm and a leg, and will still be great quality. When you want to step up, you will know what you will like, and how to tell people what you want. Better to make a $40 mistake than a $200 dollar one.

  3. Kettler makes high quality table tennis equipment and accessories.  Their Joola line tables were used in a prior Olympics.

The Joola Fetzner Smash racquet (53136) might be a good choice.  Price is around $40 - $45.

    DurableToys.com is a Kettler retailer.
