I am about to start a job teaching emotionally impaired boys in 2nd and 3rd grade in a very urban school. I have a BS in Elem. Ed and an MA in Special Ed: Learning disabilities. I am looking for some really good books on positive and effective classroom management for Emotionally impaired (EI) students. Specifically I am looking for books that give ideas and strategies that have been shown to work, not just explain what EI is. Thanks

Oh and I know WHERE to find books, I am looking for suggestions of specific titles that you have found to be good.

Look up info on Life Space Interview (LSI), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Positive Behavioral Intervention Strategies (PBIS), and Positive Behavioral Facilitation (PBF). These concepts give a ton of strategies and techniques for managing students with Emotionally Impairment.
