the best way is to target area's of which are looking for your group topic. posting it to different groups and other area's will only gain a certain number of spammers.

create a free web site and topic it to your group, add the promote code to it. other sites outside of yahoo directs those people to Yahoo who may not otherwise scroll there.

add the link to your mail signature and profile
