I am looking for someone I was writing in a prison in Louisiana. I have lost contact with him and I would like to find out if he was moved to another prison or paroled.. Who do I get in touch with and do you know the numbers to get in touch with those people? And if they have been paroled how do I find out their address?

  1. Two things you can use here. First, call the prison he was at. You have his inmate's number since you were writing him. Ask for records and identify the inmate with his number. They can tell you if he is still incarcerated and what prison he is located in. This is considered public information and can be given over the phone when asked.

If they tell you he has been released ( or on parole), go to ZABASEARCH.COM and type in as much information that you have on him in the search box. This is a totally free site that compiles information from public utility sites, phone records, driver's license records and voting data bases. It will return any current info that is on record anywhere in the USA.

Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you

  2. Go dig over by the swamp.

Or call 225-342-9711 and they'll tell you. (Which unit he's in. Not where to dig.)

  3. I have written to someone in Angola State Prison in Louisiana.  The only thing I can come up with is for you to call the prison directly and ask them.  I do know that unless your friend has you on his list of friends, you won't be able to see him, but to just write to him is easy.  If you ask the wardon of the prison or his secretary, they should be able to tell you what you need to know.  Make sure you give his full name and the block he was in when you were writing to him.  If you have his ID#, you need to give them that information too.
