I am looking for somewhere to get rid of green / garden waste in the macclesfield area, any ideas?

A farm or similar maybe? i hear there are farms that will take garden waste. i need to be able to use it on a regular basis

  2. Our Town has two local "tips" with something like a dozen skips on each site.

    These are labelled for the type of waste to be dropped in there; one is labelled "Green Waste" and includes prunings, leaves, weeds, etc.,  The green waste is pulverised and turned into compost which the site then sells at £2.50 a bag.

    Check with your local Council to see if there are similar facilities in the Macclesfield area.

    There is no charge unless you are a contractor and taking trailer-loads of waste, in which case you have to buy a trailer licence.

  3. Wow a fellow macclesfieldien! Tried the tip? On congleton road, near the pub, used to be called the rising sun, now i think it's called millers.
