I'm currently on a budget of $200 dollars right now. I already have a decent head unit and some Polk speakers. In my trunk I made the mistake of purchasing a powered sub, an infiniti basslink. I am looking for the sub-amp combo to add to my truck. I've been looking around, but so far I don't know. I want something that you can hear coming down the block, but my problem is my budget. So what do you think the best amp, sub, and box combo is?

  1. Nothing tops quality and durability.. don't be a fool and buy overrated garbage.

    Save a little longer..

Thhe only thing that could possibly come close to fitting into your budget is ...

Subs - Polk MoMo, Fosgate P1 or P2, MA Audio, Alpine Type E, Kicker Comp or CVR, Infinity Reference, or MTX 4500/5500

Amps - Kenwood, MA Audio, Kicker ZX Series, or MTX (clearly all in lower watts)

Of course, you could only get 1 sub. 1 sub can sound great so don't be discouraged. 1 sub of a 'good' brand is better than 2 of garbage quality. And be sure to follow the ohms in matching your subs to amp.

Follow this diagram in the process of pairing them together..

If the specs of the sub recommend it, go for vented. The best bang for low power.

In the meantime, if you can't at least fit something similar to what has been listed, save your money and be patient..!!

  2. try looking  on www.audioallies.com

  3. if u want decent equipment i would suggest diamond audio or jl audio (not jbl).  and get at least 600w equipment.  i have a 12" diamond audio 600w on a diamond audio 1200 watt amp and it hits hard and loud and it only set me back at 400 bucks buying new equipment from ebay.

  4. $200 won't even buy you a decent amplifier man sorry. Maybe just maybe you can get an audiobahn subwoofer in a really cheap box for under $200, but if you want any quality or SPL at all just wait until you have at least $700 to make a decent combo of amp with subwoofers. Car audio is 99% of you get what you pay for, so you don't want a cheap system
