    If you could edit your quesiton, with your grandfathers name (and birth/death date if you know), I'll search the census and vital records and on ancestry.com to find out exactly where he lived.  I'll check back :-)


  2. That's a tough one...was your grandfather a pueblo, an apache,  or a navajo?

    We have several pueblo reservations to include (but not limited to) Acoma, Zuni, Laguna (western side of the state), San Felipe, Cochiti, Isleta and Taos. There are quite a number of pueblo reservations...most of them running north and south along the Rio Grande River.

    Navajos (aside from the big Navajo reservation) include Ramah, Canoncito and Alamo.

    Apache include the Mescalaro and the Jicarilla.
