This was a part of the Freeview that Direct TV had several years ago. LeAnn Rimes and her band visited the Yucatan and at one point they visited a breathtaking waterfall in a cave looking thing. The significance was that it was a sacred cave where sacrifices or something happened historically. Lots of flora and fauna hanging down from the top of this opening. They were at pool level and lookingup and it was gorgeous and very spiritual. What was the name of this special place they visited. I cannot find a copy of the DVD or I would buy it just to see that scene again to hear where it was. Furthermore, if anyone has it recorded (music in high places/leann rimes/yucatan) let me know i may buy it from ya. Any help would be great thanks!

  1. This is a complete guess based on your description of the cenote but look at youtube or google images or something similar and tell me if it looks like Cenote Ik-il.

It's about 3 km from the ruins at Chichen Itza.

Also, in general terms any cenote or cave would be considered important to Mayans since it would be an entrance into the underworld.
