  1. http://www.tiendaleon.com.ar/

This is a bus service fron Ezeiza to downtown.

  2. I have been in thousands of taxis in buenos Aires over the 6 years I lived there (including during the crisis of 2001-2002 when crime was at a height.  I have never had anything happen so much as once nor have I ever met anyone that had anything happen.  I have heard plenty of "friends of friends" style stories of getting kidnapped, i'll bet most are fake.  There is a very, very small chance that a non-official taxi will end in a crime, but no significant chance.  since they charge the same as the official taxis, just take the one from the stand after you have exited the gated area (not the one right outside of customs but the one more inside the airport).

  3. All the turistic information you need about the Argentina see in http://viaggi.patagonia-argentina.com you will find information about the Patagonia and the south in Argentina. Visit the Patagonia is the best place in Argentina.

  4. www.buenosairesstay.com

We provide a range of travel services for BA visitors including a private transfer service from and to the airport - simply contact veronica@bastay.com she will ensure that a car is waiting for you on arrival - fees:

    Up to three travellers $35

Three to six travellers in a Mercedes people carrier $60

We also arrange free rental mobile phones with a low cost local telephone number that you may give your contacts before you arrive in Buenos Aires.  You just pay for the calls - see www.buenosairesstay.com.

  5. Three years ago I took the Manuel Tienda Leon bus to my hotel. It was cheap and safe, however, we waited several hours for the people from many flights to fill the bus andf then we stopped on their office downtown so that people from one part of the city could do a transfer to their hotels. It took us about 3 hours to finally get to our hotel. Then I went back last year and this time I took a taxi but the ones offered inside the airport. It was much expensive but the "remisse" was a nice Peugeot and the taxi driver was very nice and polite and I was safe and sound in my hotel in less then an hour.

Dont take a taxi outside the airport, contatc one of the services inside the baggage claim area, those are safe taxis.

  6. Take any of the taxi services offered as you exit "Customs" and before going into the main Lobby.

About USD25.00 to downtown. Safe and fast.

Do NOT take any taxi and or car service offered to you by a by-stander at the lobby or curb.

And yes, Manuel Tienda Leon has a bus service, for Pesos 29.00 or about USD10.00

  7. Once you get out of the airport, you will see booths where you can rent a "remis" (its like a taxi but with a previously established price, based on your destination).  Since you know how much to pay before getting in the car, you don't need to worry about the driver giving you a special "city tour."
