  2. At one funeral I attended, they played "Spirit in the sky" by Norman Greenbaum.  Do you know it?  Its old rock and roll from 1969.  http://www.spiritinthesky.com/  It was awesome.

    At another, there was a bagpipe player out a little ways from the chapel ...not too close to be annoying to people who don't like bagpipe music.  He played, among other things "amazing grace."  It was beautiful.

    cardboard coffins to save money printed with the days papers of the day deceased was born and day he died, or printed up with photos of family etc etc

    face masks of the deceased used by all like carnival style, thrwon onto the coffin at the end....

  4. Recently I attended a service where we all received small seed packets in memory of the deceased.  The idea was a great keepsake to remember the person. Each time I see the flower/plant I will remember that person with a smile.
