I am looking for ways to seal salsa that I am making. I am using plastic containers. How do I do that?

need to figure out the best way I can seal salsa. I am looking to start selling it and I need to see what is the best way to seal it, how many differnt ways I can seal, which way presevers it the the best and what is the most cost effective way. I plan on using plastic containers. If there are any websites out there I would love to know them.

  1. You wouldn't want to use plastic for salsa that you plan to sell. The jars have to be hot-filled, and the plastic will melt.

    Since you are planning to sell, you need a copy of the food preparation licensing and rules from your state licensing bureau anyway. It will explain the legal canning procedure. I am guessing it will have to be glass, using heat and pressure, like Grandma used to do.
