  1. Get a work visa. I gather from your question you aren't from the EU, so this is really important if you don't want to get into trouble that you make sure everything's legal. If not, you could get hired for crappy jobs with 80 hours a week for virtually no pay and no one would be able to help you out.

    Try subscribing to Monster.co.uk (job site) once you're sure you'll get the visa, it lists a LOT of jobs for which you can apply directly from the site. Always better to have a job lined up in advance than to have to start looking over there and risking having nothing to live on.

    Save up some money to get by a while (Europe is expensive!) if you don't have a job upon coming over, and make sure to have your CV ready and go put it in EVERYWHERE where you think you might have the slightest chance of getting hired.

    If you have a degree of some kind and already know a company you're interested in working for, apply to them directly too (it's always worth a shot).
