I am looking into buying some EMC Corp stock and wondering what other people think on this?

EMC Corp stock. Whats your opinion on it? I have done some research on it and am thinking about buying a couple hundred shares. Whats your opinion on it everyone?

I've just purchased some shares.  

The first question is do they fit within your "asset allocation" model. If they do, I certainly feel they're a good investment for 1-2% of your stock portfolio.

They make hard drives. Some people like that company but I wouldn't buy it. Lots of companies make hard  drives and they have to cut prices to sell their product. What's better or special about their product that will drive sales growth? Hard drives are what's called a "commodity." That means that when people are shopping for a hard drive they typically buy the cheapest one. Maybe if the price was about $14 I might pick up a few shares.
