  1. This is from I hate Ohdela on facebook. You look at this and think about if you want a teacher like this teaching your child.

Taylor Anne Wolff Wow I hated Ohdela. I'm so glad I don't go there anymore!! Ew I hated Julie what's-her-face, the woman who used to watch the message boards and chats? She was so annoying. And the things about them not getting back to emails is true too. I think the teachers they have are there bc they aren't qualified enough for actually teaching jobs.

Julie Marie Northrop Taylor, I am the person who watched the message boards and chat rooms. If you found me annoying, it was because you were doing something wrong and you got busted. You are one of the few who did not like me, even when that person got into trouble. I remember you actually and you were just as annoying. IF I could have banned you permanently I would have. I'm no longer working for OHDELA and I am pretty sure you are still the same low life now as you were then.

Actually, I was a lot nicer than I should have been. If I had TRULY said what I wanted to say it would have been far worse. What I said was true though, if you hated me or were annoyed by me because you got kicked off the message ...boards, it was because you were doing something wrong. I followed the rules set forth by MY bosses. I personally didn't care what the h**l you said. If it were up to me people could have said whatever the h**l they wanted as long as there were no threats. Unfortunately, people like Taylor didn't like the rules, and she got slammed for them. Boo flippin hoo, get over it. I have actually had people THANK me for removing them, so Taylor is just a small exception and yes she was annoying. I was just speaking the truth.See More

    February 17, 2010 at 11:56am · ReportChrissy Gabriel I liked you...

I have respect for those above me, like you were.

but that.... kinda crushed me. No matter how mad someone gets you... it was just really unprofessional in my opinion.

It puts one from being respected and above, to the same l...vl.

Your right, I shouldn't have responded the way I did to Taylor. I guess she caught me on a bad day and I took it far more personal than I should have. I didn't mean crush you though. I should have been the bigger person in this one....

I hope that all is well with you and you are successful in your endeavors.See More

  2. I use to work at Ohdela and they let me go along with about 7 other employees when our contracts were over. We never received a reason why and I have been working in a traditional brick and mortar school ever since. It has been about 3 years now and each year, teachers and staff members are let go but not due to work performance. It is due to MaryAnne not liking you. She does this to students also. Please don't send your child to this school. Something needs to be done about the way employees and students are treated.

  3. I went to OHDELA and I never did any work for three years. Yeah they held me back but so what. I got a free computer and they even paid for my internet. My mom got tired of me failing and now I have to go to OHVA where they actually monitor my work. As a kid, I loved OHDELA but my mom didn't like it because I would lie and say I was doing my work but I wasn't. Yeah it was my fault but I really don't care and OHDELA didn't care either.

  4. Im a current 10th grader at OHDELA and love it.  OHVA has you (the parent) teach your child with a teachers support whereas OHDELA is like a public school with teachers and unless you have a lot of time on your hands so that you can teach your child, lets just say that OHVA won't work for you. (and in regards to how OHVA works I can't be positive because my mother told me that from what she found)

  5. Im a current 10th grader at OHDELA and love it.  OHVA has you (the parent) teach your child with a teachers support whereas OHDELA is like a public school with teachers and unless you have a lot of time on your hands so that you can teach your child, lets just say that OHVA won't work for you.

  6. I am an 8th grader at Ohdela. I went to 'normal' school all of my life. In Ohdela you still get interaction with teachers and students. But you don't have to worry about getting sick from other kids. (I was always a sickly child) You don't have to worry about other kids being mean to you. And you learn a lot and get to take cool field trips. I would say try Ohdela. =)

  7. Homeschooling without the headache.  I work for OHDELA and we believe that every child deserves and individualized education.  We combine direct parent involvement, highly qualified teachers and computer technology to bring you an unparalleled educational experience from the comfort and safety of home. You can learn more about us by calling us at 800.4MY.DELA (800.493.8680) or by attending one of our information sessions offered on Monday and Saturday at 12:30 or Thurday at 6:30 at http://www.ohdela.com/infosession.html

There is also alot of information available on our website at http://www.ohdela.com

To clear up a post above both OHDELA and OHVA are both public virtual charter school for students in grades k-12.

  8. I am a high-school student at ohdela and we use to attend ohva briefly.  Ohdela is more hands on.  The teachers and you interact almost daily and they help you whenever you need help. I think they are great.

  9. OHDELA and OHVA are both public charter schools.  They are both Tuition-Free.  It really comes down to a personal preference.  I have used both and my preference because of the staff is OHDELA, but again everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you would like to speak to other OHDELA parents I would be happy to put you in touch with the head of PTO.  Call me at 330.252.8865 OHDELA is one of the only online schools that offer a PTO, National Honor Society, Ski Club and much more.  One of the other benefits it has is the My Choice Account, which allows you to go on field trips or purchase learning material that are additional to what they provide.
