  1. Have you called LDS Family Services?  They can help.

    Good Luck!

  2. You can contact a few adoption agencies, and they'll be able to explain the process for you. Each agency is different, so be sure to ask a lot of questions, and make sure that their practices seem ethical.

The following program places solely African American and bi-racial children, so it may be a good place to start.

You could also adopt through foster care, however it is very rare for an infant to already be freed for adoption, so you would need to foster the child first. In this case it is possible for the biological family to regain costudy before parental rights have been severed. Even then, there are many families waiting to foster-adopt infants, so there could be a long wait if you want to adopt an infant or even a toddler.

  3. awww little african babies are sooo cute!!

    idk but good luck!

  5. Look into foster to adopt! There are so may children who need to be adopted from foster care, with the majority african american! Go to the Heart Gallery for photos & info on children who are waiting to be adopted. In my state (FL) We adopted our 2 foster sons and didn't pay a dime. They both have medicade, and college scholarships. They are the best decision we've ever made--they have filled our hearts & home with sooooo much love!! Call the Department of Children & family in Louisiana & they will be glad to give you details on adopting from foster care ( oh yea our adoption only took 4 months start to finish) that's a lot quicker than a private agency! Best wishes!

  6. Look into the foster care system.

  7. gee there must be a million start in you own town check with the state adoption and foster care first

  8. I am an adoptive mother of two.  I have found that if you want to adopt a bi racial child, especially if the baby is AA you will have a child in your arms much more quickly and it will cost less as well.  I would recommend an adoption agency called "adoption advertising".  We used them for our second adoption and they are great!  If you go to their website you will see mothers who are pregnant now and looking for someone to adopt their child.  Most of the babys are AA.  Their website is:

    http://www.adoptionadvertising.org/

Look on the first page under "new situation page".

When we signed up with them it was only two weeks before we had our baby in our arms!!

    Good luck!
