  1. If I ever run another flight school, I'm going to blacklist everyone who's asked this question here.

Does anyone have enough initiative to search the questions before asking??

This question is asked and answered so many times here its ridiculous! It takes no time to search and you'll see the answer a hundred times.

  2. i was searching for flight school and i found a good one in canada in monterial , quebec  called Cargair and you can go the the website http://www.cargair.com i think its very good one  actually i already registered in this flight school and im waiting the Canadian visa to go there , wish you all the best

if you need any farther info you can mail me humam_shabani@yahoo.com

  3. pass you your first g f t, get your PPL, then become a flight instructor to clock up your hours and get paid.

Go on for your commercial rating , then away you go!

It`l cost a lot though, wish i done it years ago!

Don`t think about it , defiantly do it!

best job in the world ,see the world and get paid!

There is commercial pilots here where i work most days .

they work 4 days a week, good money, and fly their own private planes as well.

  4. http://www.ctcwings.com/

Thats a great programme if you live in the UK

  5. A university course is not required to become a commercial pilot. You may simply go to any flight school to earn your ratings and you can get any kind of degree that interests you. I would suggest that you get a degree in a field that interests you that can also employ you if a flying career doesn't go well for you.

To the contrary of what the big aviation universities often say in their advertising literature (which is self-serving), the airlines do not put much if any emphasis on where you learned to fly or what kind of college degree you have, as long as you have the required licenses and experience to meet their hiring requirements. Even a college degree is not required, but not having one decreases your chances of being hired by a major air carrier about 75%.

I went to an internationally reknown aviation university and I can say with conviction that it hasn't helped my career any appreciable amount over the hundreds of pilots I know who went to a community college and a local flight school, which was considerably cheaper. I don't know what contries / schools you are considering, but a place such as Embry-Riddle Aerospace University will cost you about $200,000 over 4 years -- approximately $50,000 for flight training and $150,000 for the academic degree, plus room and board.

I'm not saying don't go to an aviation university, but there are cheaper alternatives that will just as easily  get you where you want to be in aviation for far less money. Unless cost is no consideration for you, I suggest that you explore all the alternatives before making a decision.

  6. Many schools in the US that offer great programs.  I go to Embry-Riddle.  Before I enrolled I had my A&P, PPL, and instrument.  Many routes you can take.  Build time being a CFI, military, etc.  People argue over what is the best.  Just do research on what you think will work best for YOU.  I encourage anyone to go to ERAU.  There are set backs such as the money issue but I look at it as this.  For one you only live once.  Yes money is going to be spent but once you graduate the ERAU name sticks with you..which is huge.  The facilility is wonderful and the amount you learn in undescribable.  Just do research before you make any decisions.  Steve.  AP,PP,PI

  7. aviation. here in the Philippines, you need to take 500 hours air training before getting into Philippine Airlines, but while studying you need to take 800 hours, and I think the last price I know was 2 million pesos per 50 hours. Expensive.

  8. This is the one i am going to attend.

It is a 3 year course with a few months in the USA.

You will archive  BA (Hons) and your ATPL. Here is a link 4 more info:
