I am looking to buy a Woofer System? I can afford a max. of Rs. 1500. What are my options?

Woofer Systems consist of a Woofer (8inch to 12 inch) a woofer cabinet and a sub 100Hz amp ( sub-woofer ).

The price of a decent Woofer (12 inch) work to around Rs. 600/- (Chinese). The circuit is simple and can be downloaded from efy or elektor. The circuit components cost around Rs. 400/-.

Thus the Cost of a Woofer is Rs. 2000/- approx; However the price you can purchase one for , is around Rs. 5000/-.

Alternatively you can look at purchasing a second hand Woofer on ebay or the free ads

My suggestion - build it!

Buy a second hand woofer, and take and old box and get a carpenter to fix it inside. Insulate the inside of the box with cotton/ wool/cardboard egg trays, and you will have a lovely woofer.

Hi,

Go for Sony's "DAV-DZ151KB" 5.1 home theatre system, its excellent.  I brought it for Rs 15,000 but now you can get it for only Rs 13,000.

LOOk for creative and altek lansing only they provide best quality.

for 1050 u can get a creative 2.1

for 1550 u can get a creative inspire.

for  <2450 u can get an altek lansing . its sound is amazing!

while buying anything never go for PMPO e.g. like they say  2000watt PMPO.

ALways go for RMS e.g. 100 watt RMS.
