I am a first time rider. I was looking at a Honda cbr or a kama Ninja. I dont want that fast of a bike and I dont want a slow bike. Are these bikes ok for first time riders? I dont want to kill myself.

  1. It's Kawasaki, not Kama.

    Try sitting on a bunch

    theres supersports and sport/sport tourers

    try the Suzuki SV650S, GSX650F, Honda CBR600F4i, Kawasaki ZZR600, Kawasaki Ninja 650, Yamaha FZ6, Yamaha R6, Honda CBR600RR, Suzuki GSXR-600, Kawasaki ZX-6R (ninja)

  2. For a first time rider, If you really want a sport bike, I like the bikes such as the Ninja 500 and 650. They have the sporty look and enough motor to keep you interested, but they are more user friendly and not as powerful as the 'pure' 600 sport bikes, such as the cbr, zx-6, r6 and the gsxr.

Some others you may want to look at are Suzuki's SV 650 & GS 500, the Yamaha FZ 6, and the Buell Blast.

  3. Ummm well i suggest a kawasaki ninja 650r but u shud probably go to the dealership and test drive the bikes around 600cc i dont suggest any thing higher then 650cc

    Hope this helped ride safely

  4. Missy you need to crawl before you can walk.

By a standard 125cc or maybe a 250cc if your a medium to large frame gal.

Learn how to ride it, and fall, wear lots of pads and a bucket.

after a few years then more up to a sport bike.

Or learn what road rash means.

  5. for your first sport bike, go used, and stay under 600cc...

after you get a season or 2 in, you'll figure out exactly what you're looking for, and you can sell your used bike for almost as much as u bought it for...

now you have experience, and you have the right bike...

  6. Both are good choices you may also want to consider a Suzuki SV 650 S

  7. i would have to say the honda cbr

  8. This is the answer that I gave another poster and I stand by it.

I would recommend the Ninja 250 for the following reasons:

Enough Power To Have Fun, But Not Enough To Intimidate You

Light and Easy To Handle And Maneuver

Cheap (Probably Less Than $2k For A 2005)

Has Been Very Popular So They Are Readily Available

    Lower Insurance Rates

Great Resale Value When You Decide To Move Up

Whatever you choose, please take a MSF course and wear all of your protective equipment including helmet, boots, gloves, jacket and pants. You will be very thankful when you drop it. Also, because you will drop it while learning, don't go new. but the used one, beat it up a little and then when you get comfortable go buy that bigger shiny new one.

  9. Kawasaki Ninja 250R

$3499 and comes in 4 colors...

    great for starter...to learn on

but if you want to keep it for longer w/out getting tired of it....then go for

    HONDA CBR600rr

    Kawasaki Ninja zx6r

    Yamaha R6

    Suzuki gsxr600
