I am currently licensed in health and life and I am wanting to expand my borders into vehicle and homeowners, or possibly change over to that line all together. How do I go about this? Are there any companies that will provide the training to acquire my license if I come to work for them? Any information would be great, especially a website. Thanks in advance!

  1. Try American National, Allstate, State Farm, Nationwide,  Met Life, Erie Ins. Group. (not in any particular order)

You can google the companies for more info.

    Best wishes, and God bless.

  2. if you are currently employed by an agency they should be able to help you.  if not you will need to attend classes (most states its 40 hrs) and then take the state board exam.  a LOT of places will hire you especially since you already hold a license in health and life and put you through the classes and exam in exchange for you signing on to work for them for a certain time period.  go speak to some agencies in your area about it.

  3. It depends on the state you want to work in, some states do not requirer insurance licenses others require differenct licenses.  In Florida we have a 440 which is 40 hours this is considered a customer service lic. .  But the licenses for an agent is 220 and requires 220 hours of training.  Your best way to get a lic is work for Progressive or Geico, they will train you and get you lic at their expense.

  4. Contact a local insurance agent.  I am sure if you are qualified he/she would be interested in training you and may even pay for licensing.
