wind sprints ultimately help improve that also? ie. sprint 100 meters at a time, 30 secs rest, 100, and so on for about 600-800 meters. And if so, what would ending result be, less winded on the jog, better finishing stamina, or what?

  1. doing 100 meter prints would only help you in the last 50-100m of thew 1500m. for 1500m you need to run 20k very slowly and then id recommend doing some 2ks and 800s.

and plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz dont listen to Katies answer.

  2. you'll end up getting very bored with all that running, unless ur some ind of running addict/freak ;)

try some swiming, one of the best exercises you can do

  3. Those runs can help also using weights on those sprints and running up hill can help. This will give you a better finish and probably stronger lungs you will most likely be able to run faster and longer. I would also try running the 1.5mile to see what your time is and really try to get a good final 800m, increasing your speed with about 800m to go can really help and a good final 200m sprint could take off seconds.

    Good luck
