im not sure what you mean by amateur. I am going to assume you mean outside of school, in that case, what Age group?

I would recommend that you stop by one of your nearby community centers, and ask Park and Recreation District employees about any volleyball league in your area.

You may also figure out where you can go for open volleyball. In my area, if you are a so-so to normal level female player showing up as a new player in open gyms, one or more teams would approach you and ask whether you would join them for practice, and tournaments. Male players are not so "lucky" as we have more than enough on every single team :)
