  1. Just look for it at a real state agent site on the internet.

There are many of them publishing farms for different uses in Australia.

  2. Try

    www.realestate.com.au or www.allhomes.com.au

www.elders.com.au is a rural specialist (or they used to be)

Be aware though that Australian gun and hunting laws are very different to america.  An additional problem can be getting and breeding the birds.  Many Australian game birds are protected species and importing birds is virtually impossible with our quarantine laws.  If you talking water birds - familiarise yourself with the climate before you try it ... there is no water!  Also consider the parcel of land if you're thinking rifle hunting.  1000 acres is only 1.5 miles by 1.5 miles ... most high powered rifles will cover a lot of that distance and you'll be on the neighbours place.  Most farms in the outback are measured in hundreds and thousands of square miles.

Understand also that our visa and immigration laws are probably just as tough as the US, if not more so and our gun license laws are some of the toughest in the world.

Hate to put a damper on it mate ... ya might find the perfect place ... but do some more research before you commit the big bucks.

  3. It will help you to narrow your search area and then contact a few agents in the area.  You could also contact hunting clubs etc. for contacts.  If the land is really low value and unusable for anything else, lots of people will give you access for virtually nothing.  The key will be trust.  I don't know enough for such a broad region to help but wanted to offer some suggestions.
