  1. you 18 go to school and get a degree thers very few jobs in jam they need doctors and lawyers either that or save some money and make buissness there but if you do find a job its gonns pay at most 150 200 usa bucks a week unless you have any specail skill or talent becuase 80 percent of the people are in poverty, take your time and do this smart jam needs people who will build it up not add to the growing poverty rate

  2. people usually want to move out of jamaica! cause if your poor then life sucks cause of the economy

and if your rich it's dangerous cause robbers will DEFF come get you and there is nothing you can do about that.. cause the police suck .. they are too busy waiting on the sides of the streets to see if anyones speeding rather than in the neigborhoods.

NOT A GOOD IDEA. lol. but you can try. kingston is kinda good. the lower the number the better. [ie kingston 20 is bad.. kingston 6 is good] lol.

  3. It all depends on what type of job you get. Jamaica is all about education and degrees, the job market is very difficult here. The neighborhood you live in again, depends on how much money you make and what you can afford.  We also have a lot of housing schemes developing.( In Kingston) There are condos for sale along with townhouses. It again all boils down to what you can afford. The community/area that you live in will determine how much your rent is.(I.E. living in Portmore is cheaper than living in New Kingston, or Long Mountain, etc...)I think that perhaps prior to moving you submit your resume on some sites and read the classified postings to see what is out there, then you come visit and scout out some communties in different parishes.

To the guy that says Jamaica is full of slums, he obviously has  never been to Jamaica. Jamaica like everywhere in the world has rich and poor areas. He needs to do some research before he talks such foolishness.

  4. really most of jamaica is the slum move to st. luca or something and the best job you could get is an engineer or somthing of high paying results dont pick a doctor because alot of jamaicans dont have insurance
