Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this and maybe tell me what I need to look for and about how much I should spend?

How long is a piece of string??

. Do you need a long or short shaft?

Main makes are Mercury , Evinrude , Yamaha , Honda

2 stroke or 4 stroke?

A good reliable make is Tohatsu (nissan) with a 60hp 2stroke new would cost £3649, A good secondhand one £1800.

When buying look under the cover at the condition of the engine,and always see it running in water ,never running without water. Get boat mags read up on engines, remember buy cheap expect trouble.
