I am looking to purchase a new set of clubs and the ones i am looking at now are the nike cci?

im about a 6 handicap should a get the forged or the cast iron. is there a major difference. I am looking to play college golf so which ones would i be better off with

you need forged irons for sure! But i think if i was you i would buy Titleist irons cause thats what i have and I am a 10

handicap!

Go with the forged. Cast irons tend to give false feedback. If you are the accomplished player you say you are, you need the feedback to get the most out of your game. I would be professionally fit by a pro. It will help alot. Check out the Mizuno lines too. The best clubs known to golf. At least hit a few before you buy the nikes. Try the MP57 MP 60 and MP67. If you can hit these babies, you will never buy another set of irons

Forged irons for sure.

And the real answer is what you hit best and what you are most confident in.  People will say "Oh titleist cuz thats what i use" Or "Nike, cuz if tiger uses them, so should I"  NOOOO Not true.  Whatever club you can pick up, be confident in the shot you are going to hit, and execute is the best for you.  If its the X20's so be it, if the 695MB's so be it, if its the MP60's so be it.  Go to a golfsmith or PGA store and hit as many as you can.  Figure out which feels the best, and get that one.  Dont worry about brand.

The biggest difference is feedback. You will want to have the loft and lie adjusted occasionally on forged also. If I were a better ball striker, I would love to be able to play forged.
