I am looking to relocate for my job in Blackburn but my partner works in Northwich. Any ideas on where to live

I would like to live somewhere between the two places. We are both young and like wine bars and restuarants and shops. But I would also like somewhere that is quite rural... any ideas???

Suburbs or one of the smaller towns to the west of Manchester would put you close to halfway between Northwich and Blackburn and  give you access to motorway links to both.
