  1. if youve got a bit of money mossman is a nice place to live

  2. in the city area is very expensive. dont know what you are looking for, but southwest, campbelltown to picton is reasonable priced. like every where some parts are better than others. there are lots of good and bad areas, depending on your price range. There is a thousand areas you can pick, depending on what price you are looking for.

  3. it totally depends what you want.

Suburbs in Sydney, and areas, are very different and depending on your budget, what you like to do in your spare time, where you will work, and what type of environment you like - there will be particlular areas that you would probably prefer more.

There are main areas, such as the eastern and western suburbs, north shore, inner west, sutherland shire etc and all have different suburbs within them

  4. I suggest the inner west and lower north shore. Lower north shore like Wolstencraft, artarmon are cheaper than the upper north shore and also handy for transport around Sydney and into the CBD.

Inner west is good due to its proximity into the city but there is more of a community life rather than the isolation in the main city area.

But as said it definately depends on your budget.

  5. Well it depends on how much you want to spend on the house.

I personally would recommend Paddington, since it's beautiful around there. Cute houses and amazing street stores, they also have Saturday markets! How do I know this? My aunt lives there and has been for 30 years! But the houses are pretty expensive!

If that's not what you're looking for try Clovelly, the house price range is much lower but I personally think it's a brilliant suburb! Everybody practically knows each other! Oh and there is NO ONE there who's s****.! It's got a magnificent beach, cute little stores and great houses, plus Catholic and Public schools in the same suburb!

And if that's not in your price range -

try Maroubra. It's not as laid back as Clovelly and Paddington but it's great for somebody with a budget - beach, schools, stores, restaurants, you name it. Oh and don't believe the rumours - Maroubra is not a rough suburb, my bestie has lived there her whole life and nothing wrong has happened!

    So there you go:

    1. Paddington

    2. Clovelly

    3. Maroubra

    Hope I helped!

Oh, and all these suburbs are located in the Eastern suburbs.

  6. For cheaper prices, look at south western suburbs in the Canterbury/Bankstown, Fairfield and Campbelltown cities. Suburbs include: Campsie, Belmore, Belfield, Lakemba, Wiley Park, Punchbowl, Roselands, Bankstown, Yagoona, Birrong, etc.

Western Sydney is also the same as above but look at: Blacktown, Mt Druitt, Penrith etc. However, Western Sydney has extreme weather but the good thing is there are excellent shopping centres such as Westfield Mt Druitt, Parramatta and Westpoint Blacktown.

Crime levels, however, are slightly higher in these areas compared to the rest of Sydney but Sydney in general, is nowhere as dangerous as other cities around the world.

The Inner West is my favourite area of all. It's close to the city and the housing prices are reasonable. Safety is great here. If you drive around the south west and Inner West border around the areas of Belfield and Strathfield South, you will see a difference in the houses. Look at places such as Strathfield, Burwood, Ashfield, Concord and Homebush.

Beware, some agents will advertise houses in Canterbury/Bankstown as the Inner West. Technically this is not correct. The values of the two areas are very different.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

  7. The Sutherland Shire is the best place in Sydney.

Other than that try and keep away from the west. Crime rates are high there and it's just not a nice area.

Randwick, Bondi, North Shore, and any of the northern beaches are pretty good as well

  8. It does depend on where you are locating from, as to how any suggestions would compare.

eg: If you are locating from Baghdad, then my answers would be different to if you were locating from Mayfair in London.

It's just a different way of looking at things ;)

  9. North Shore/Eastern Suburbs/South (Cronulla way).

Dont go to Lakemba, St Marys, Redfern, Mt Druitt, Doonside (or as i call it Doomside lol), Granville, Bidwill, Lethbridge Park, Macquarie Fields because they are rough. The best thing to do is stick out of Lebanese areas at night. Im not racist or anything, its just the Lebanese gangs that bash whites because they are whites.
