The first and third sites are the biggest RE sites around these parts. A six month lease is normally standard but you could maybe negotiate with the agency or landlord.

As for 'cheap'...depends on what you consider so. Rentals have skyrocketed commensurate with house prices in Brisbane in the last 2 years.

and then look up a few real estate agents in Brisbane like Ray White Real Estate or  look up real estate institute of queensland

I have heard it is difficult to rent at the moment but I know a house at Aspley that has been vacant for weeks and is for rent so who really knows
