I need to find a place in sf were low income people can go for a divorce.

  1. I think the answer above is a scam so don't get tricked.

    I don't live in California but I know if you are unemployed and don't have any money you get a free lawyer. If you do have an income you may still qualify for a free lawyer or a cheap one.  Lawyers start from $350 per hour. If you were to pay, you are looking at $40 to $100 per hour since you are low income.

    Go to http://calbar.ca.gov/state/calbar/calbar... and find a lawyer. Also you should go to the your state department and they can help you out. If you don't have lots of asset than you shouldn't be worried much, just child custody and child support.  

    If you don't have kids and don't own a house than you don't need lawyer. Just go to the court and ask for the paper work. It should be an easy divorce than. It won't cost more than $500.
