I am making an afghan for my daughter, what is the standard size?

It is a simple granny squard afghan that is just one large granny square ( not many sewn together). Not sure how big is the "average" size, or standard size.......I'm very new at this, can anyone help me? Thank you so much!!!

There is no standard size. I make mine about 36x72, but yours is going to be a square.
