I am making noise while drinking, what can i do?

whatever liquid i am drinking, i make noise while drinking it. its something i've been doing since i can remember, but recently i've bee caring because no one else is making the noise. its not only i who could hear it because i've asked people i trust. i think i am forcing whatever i am drinking down my throat but i dont know if its true. anyone know if this is normal, or if i should get it checked out? tips of not making noise would be helpfull

I had a boyfriend who complained because I did this too. So he had me try to swallow quietly, then practice doing it. It's how you move your throat muscles when you swallow. It's like pushing the to-be-swallowed food toward the back of your throat.

He also complained about how "noisy" I walked..... I never did figure THAT one out....

Just ask your GP about this.

It might be an ENT problem
