I am moderator to a yahoo group. How do I close or shutdown this group?

I am also the owner of the group.

you cant unless you had the priviledge to do so (some moderators do) but you need to speak with the owner 1st

If you are the owner of the group, here is how you can do that:

Sign in to the group you wish to delete.

Click on Management.

On right side of screen under "Delete Group", click on "Delete" and then confirm that you do want to delete the group.

NOTE:  If you delete the group, you will remove the group from Yahoo! Groups, unsubscribe all members, and eliminate all archives, shared files, and calendars. Everything will be gone and cannot be retrieved.
