I am moving from Northern California to Alaska, What moving company is best for me?

I have to be out of my apartment in 5 days, I am moving from Sacramento CA, to Anchorage AK; I need a cheap moving company that can move my stuff ASAP

My gosh - you have so little time - you might want to get the phone book out and start calling every moving company you can find - your not giving them time to schedule the move with less than a weeks notice - not to mention so little advance planning means more money!

I feel for you, and understand things happen and everything can't always be planned in advance.  

I used United Van Lines when I moved from Northern California to Arizona (a 3 bedroom house!) and it cost me $7000 to move my house - it was very expensive but a GREAT tax writeoff!  I wish you luck (seeing that I bet you will spend just as much!) - Good luck!

"Kimberlee" is correct...kinda. You need to look up on line the Yellow Pages for the city in Alaska that you plan to move to. See what moving companies service that city. Not all moving companies in the "lower 48" offer service to Alaske due to the need to cross the international border into Canada.  Find a mover that serves both Alaska and Sacramento and select from one of those. Don't expect the word "cheap" to apply in this case, sorry.
