I am moving into an flat that has wireless internet can i convert it to wired for my vonage phone?

You can actually get a Wireless Access Point and use it in reverse.  Basically you get it connected to your wireless network, then attach the Vonage device to that.  A WAP usually runs about 50ish dollars.
