  1. u shiould really try a pedal boat.its just like riding a bike.all u need to know is that u have to know how to pedal and learn how to stear it .the steering "wheel"is like the gear shift in a car.its very simple

  2. Hi, A sunfish is a good one class design and easy to sail. Another way to go is a catamaran like a Hobiecat, they are not quite as easy to sail at first but once you get it down it is way more fun and FAST

  3. There are so many questions to ask before that question can be answered.  The answer is found by addressing your needs and goals.  If you simply want to learn how to move your sailboat through the water, a simple Sunfish would do just fine.  You can learn more about them at http://www.sunfishsailboats.com/

If you travel to the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, I can take you out for a lesson on a 22-foot or 37-foot sailboat.  Feel free to check out my site at:  http://www.randrchartersandsailschool.ne...

I have a blog where I'll be writing articles that could help you learn the technical aspect of sailing.  That blog is http://sailschool.blogspot.com

When learning to sail you should attack it two ways.  You need to read about it, then practice on the water.  The American Sailing Association (ASA) publishes books to help you learn and study for your licensing if you choose.  They are at http://www.american-sailing.com

Best of luck and happy sailing!
