Learn French if you don't already know it. Business operation requirements differ by country, and Canada has got an amazing set of rules and taxes for you to live by.

If you're willing to endure the disgrace of dealing with people who are nowhere near the top of the socioeconomic heap, consider buying and selling used mobil homes.  I don't know of anything more profitable.  Read "Deals on Wheels" by Lonnie Scruggs.  It's no best seller.  I live in Virginia and I got it on interlibrary loan from Louisiana.
